Willa’s House: A Tribute to Teachers
Advance copies of this beautiful book, Willa’s House, just arrived. So sad that author David Booth, Professor Emeritus, OISE University of Toronto — educator extraordinaire, who spent his life helping children learn and love to learn, and training teachers to do likewise — did not live to see the finished book. But cherish happy memories of working with David on this, his final book, which is a tribute to teachers, the joy in life’s small moments, and to home.
“Willa loved teaching her students. She said that grade one was the most important year at school. If children learned to read and write in grade one, nothing could stop them from success.” – Willa’s House by David Booth
Proceeds from the sale of this book will be donated to the David Booth Memorial Bursary, University of Toronto.
