EVE GANE

is a teacher, photographer, and former bookseller from Toronto. With a background in visual art and creative writing, she brings her diverse interests to life as an English and Arts educator. In her free time, Eve enjoys reading, watercolour painting, and experimenting in the kitchen.

TOBY TANG

an educator and high school vice principal, was born in Wuhan, China, and moved to Canada at the age of ten. He has a love for hiking, camping, and trying new foods.

Together, Eve and Toby live in Picton Ontario with their two daughters and their dog, Gus. They love exploring the local beaches and forests as a family while uncovering the hidden gems in their neighbourhood.

Their debut picture book, Faye’s Lanterns, is inspired by their own journey from Toronto and their experiences of finding community and acceptance in their new town.
